Really. Since I have them at my feet, my life has changed. It's been about six hours now. Every ten minutes, roughly, I have a mini orgasm. There is this weird smile floating on my face and when I walked to Montmartre earlier, I really had the feeling I was so cool that Kate Moss would just be "almost cool" compared to me, at this minute.
Am I crazy ?

Ok, whatever, I am litteraly HIGH on my boots, and you know what ? I am in a such a good mood I feel like posting all the stuff I liked from London and nyc, cause I liked stuff, actually. I was so grumpy, though... That was all because of this horrible week end in Berlin.

PS I got my shoes at the new OMG vintage store that just opened, right accross the street (this is very bad news for my banker). They are italian 80s vintage the tag says Mare. In case someone cares.

Death of a Champion

The goddess Suzy Menkes announced it today : the it-bag is dead. I agree. Walking around with a thousand dollar trophée hung to your arm seems absolutely inappropriate in this recession period. The it bag became unethical. But what about the crazy shoes invading the dressings of all of us fashionistas ? Thank god, fashion has not gone all about ethics, and can still be a guilty pleasure. Feeling good matters too, in recession, doesn't it ?

The Louis Vuitton showroom was nimbed with the bright and cold winter sun, giving the light pink walls and exposed pieces a cinematographic touch.

The studded wedge sandals were sparkling

The burgundy striped knitted culotte (one of the most to die for pieces I've ever seen) was twinkling

And the three-pieces black suede boots sunbathing

There were fresh strawberries and Ladurée macarons on a glass table. The whole set had the pastel, romantic look of a Sofia Coppola movie.

And that was no coincidence. Exposed on a pyramid of monogrammed boxes, Sofia's creation for Louis Vuitton enjoyed the good weather. Her interpretation of the summer sandal
and re-thiking of the hit Speedy bag...

Proenza couleur

How do New-York designers Proenza Schouler manage to produce a fashion that can be minimalist, yet dramatic, extremely sleek, yet so edgy ?
I got a sneak peak of their pre-fall collection yesterday, in their Paris showroom, and it is genius.
Especially the accessories. I fell in love with those studded boots, and found out that super hot shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti (he also makes Balmain shoes) was the one who produced all this beauty for Proenza.
Also spotted : studded flat sandals and double-buckle low boots. And this blue python bag

But the real surprise is this crazy crazy dress. Could you believe this leather effect is actually broidery ?
